After taking a break for breakfast (extra) at Dere Kahve, which is like a corner of heaven with its natural wonder, lush green trees, waterfall pool and unique beauty, we start walking on the streets of Tire. We see the unique street fountains, mosques and baths, smell the atmosphere of the Tire Bazaar that reminds us of those old days, witness the handicrafts that are still alive (rope making, horseshoe making, quilt making, wickerwork, saddlery, felting, weaving), and get the chance to photograph the craftsmen as they produce their works. After shopping in our bazaar with fresh fruits, vegetables and greens, we taste the famous tire meatballs (extra) for lunch. We say goodbye to Tire, where we experienced joy and culture, and go to Birgi village of Ödemiş. In Birgi, one of the centers of the Aydınoğulları Principality, you will see the historical Çakırağa Mansion Museum, Ümmü Sultan Tomb, Gazi Umur Bey Statue and stone Birgi Houses with wooden windows, visit the Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey Mosque and Çakırağa Mansion, where the Green Sea TV series was shot. We visit the mansion.

After leaving here and visiting the Imam-ı Birgivi Mehmet Efendi Tomb, we set out towards Izmir.

ABOUT BİRGİ VILLAGE;

Birgi, located in Ödemiş District of İzmir Province, was under the rule of the Phrygian Civilization (750-680 BC), Lydian Civilization (680-546 BC), Persian Kingdom, Pergamon Kingdom, Roman and Byzantine Empire respectively. The city was the capital of the Aydınoğlu Principality in the 13th and 14th centuries during the Anatolian Principalities period. In 1426, it definitively came under Ottoman rule. Birgi is one of the rare settlements that has preserved its unique traditional architectural texture until today. With its mansions, mosques, mausoleums, madrassas, baths, fountains and many other works, it has many registered structures that started from the principality period and have survived to the present day. Two architectural structures that best reflect the traditional architectural texture in the town; The Ulu Mosque, which is one of the most successful examples of its period with its altar and pulpit with mostly wooden ornaments, and the Çakırağa Mansion, which draws attention with its wooden workmanship.
